Poor A.
His knee is in a bad way now, swollen and painful. He’s been playing football (soccer) for the past 30 years or so which seems to be the cause of the problem. He had a bilateral arthroscopy a few months ago, which did wonders for one but not the other of his over-used knees and lately he’s been hobbling along in a most un-A. sort of way.
Time to see a specialist methinks. Although it was a bit hard to take him as seriously as he’d like me to, after he told me he’d climbed the 400-odd stairs up St Paul’s Cathedral and down again…..
